site news: i just updated the fanlisting and the fan submissions pages, which were both long overdue for an update. if you want to change your submissions to the "favorites" section now that the new album has come out, you can resubmit the form. if you use the same email i can tell that it's a change rather than a new submission, but you can put "edit" after your name to help me out.
site news: i mentioned in the shoutbox that i might be posting some songs from the EP, so i just wanted to give you an update to that situation. since you can still buy both versions, i wasn't sure if it would be right for me to post any of the songs, so i sent an email to the band. i'll post the songs as soon as they give me an okay.
band news: Hiding Inside The Horrible Weather will be released in Australia on August 11th and in the UK and Europe on September 28th. it's kind of silly the European release is after most of the tour...but there are now five sold out dates in the UK, that's crazy!
band news: MAH will be doing a short headlining run of the southwest with The Higher and June right after Warped:
band news: billboard.com has posted an article about My American Heart here. it's got a few factual errors (MAH isn't playing main stage, and they didn't get signed 4 years ago), but it's an interesting article.
band news: if you're looking for some lawlz, check out this video of Jesse screwing around on his guitar.
band news: apparently Warcon is putting a lot of effort into the text-message update system. if you signed up already, you should have gotten a message about a contest (text "MAH" to 66937 to sign up for text message updates if you haven't already). prizes for the contest include a signed MAH CD and Glamour Kills merch. text "Warcon" to 66937 to enter.
band news: the Norwich and Manchester dates of MAH's UK tour have sold out already! if plan on going to any of the dates on the European tour, buy your tickets now!
band news: apparently the "Yo! Indie Rock Raps" compilation which will feature MAH's "California Love" cover isn't going to be released until October 16. if you head over to the album's myspace, you can hear clips of 2 of the songs.
site news: i updated the audio section with mp3s from the Ocean Java acoustic show and the most recent DJ Rossstar show. expect some new video downloads soon.
band news: in addition to the UK tour dates already released, MAH has just added some dates in France, Holland, & Germany playing with Madina Lake. the newly announced dates are below. all dates can be found here.
site news: this Wednesday was the Atlanta Warped Tour, and it was amazing. MAH not only got me in for free, but i got to watch their set from backstage and they gave me free merch. Before their regular set they did an acoustic set at the Myspace tent. These aren't posted on the main schedule board, so if you are going to Warped, be sure to stop by either the Myspace tent or MAH's tent to see if/when they are doing an acoustic set. The acoustic set was very intimate, which was cool. I was sitting right in front of the stage, but it was weird for me just sort of sitting their and quietly singing along when i'm used to jumping around and dancing at shows.
During the regular set, i was standing right on the side of the stage, which again is a whole different sort of feel. It feels like you are part of the action because you are basically on stage with the band, but you also end up missing a lot of the action because the band is facing away from you. Being backstage is also cool because you get to feel like a little hotshot. at one point Jesse came over and high-fived me. i felt cool :) After the set, Jesse invited me to chill in their tour bus. I didn't even know that they had a tour bus, it's pretty sweet that they do. Anyways, i had a great time, and i've got some media for you:
site news: i know a lot of people were confused about how to get the free ringtone of The Shake, so i decided to try it out. here's the series of messages i got:
first i texted MAH to 66937 and got this:
site news: our anniversary passed and i didn't even notice! this site has been around for over a year. thank you to everyone who visits and submits stuff, and to MAH for supporting the site and just being generally awesome.
band news: MAH's recently recorded cover of Tupac's "California Love" will be released on Immortal Records' new compilation entitled "Yo! Indie Rock Raps" to be released August 7th. check out the album cover here. the other bands on the compilation are: Hellogoodbye, New Found Glory, Hot Rod Circuit, This Providence, Amber Pacific, The Hush Sound, The Starting Line, Say Anything, As Cities Burn, All Time Low, Cute Is What We Aim For, Just Surrender, Halifax, The Maine, A Change Of Pace, The Escape Frame, & Brighten. pretty badass line-up in my opinion.
site news: i just finished uploading my little surprise for you: click here to see 27 additional photos from the latest photoshoot. if you want to download really high quality versions, click here.
band news: MAH has really been pushing this text message updates thing. You can get a free ringtone of "The Shake" by signing up. click the banner below:

i found this banner by snooping around the Warcon site. i'm not sure if MAH as been using it or not, but you can:

band news: Warped Tour means that way more fan videos are being taken and put on YouTube. click here for all of them. this profile has the whole set from Mountain View, CA (the audio is better than the video). based on all the videos i've seen, i know that:
1. MAH played some acoustic songs in the Myspace tent at the Ventura, CA Warped show on June 30th in addition to their regular set. i don't know if they will be doing this at any other dates.
2. they have some new stage decorations featuring the new album art.
check out a new interview with Dustin (and Matt):
